Introduced in 1999, the ACID series is named after the business acronym of Brooklyn urban/industrial/graffiti/motorcycle artist Scott Chester — Arielle Chester Industrial Design, or A.C.I.D. A silhouette of Chester with his motorcycle appears prominently on all ACID cigar packaging.
The ACID family of cigars is one of the world’s most popular series of smokes, yet it’s created using one of the most closely guarded secretive processes in the industry. All ACID sticks are cured, aged and skillfully hand-rolled at Drew Estate’s own Gran Fabrica factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
In the ACID Earthiness smokes, gently aged Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos are enrobed in an Ecuadorean Sumatra-leaf wrapper and then permeated by a top-secret blend of more than 100 exotic, all-natural herbal and botanical essences. A balance of sweetness and spiciness (think cloves and cinnamon) adds to the nuances of fruit, earth, leather, wood and white pepper that are perceptibly and individually present among this stick’s robust infusions.
